Ist eine aus Kuba stammende Fächerpalme die in der Kultur kaum anzutreffen ist, und deren Stamm wirklich sehr bemerkenswert ist.
Da er mit einer dicken Schicht von langen, braunen, wolligen Fasern bedeckt ist.
Ihre Blattkrone ist mit abhängenden Fächerblättern eigentlich unspektakulär, die auf der Oberfläche glänzend grün und an der Unterseite gräulich bis weis sind.
Benötigt unbedingt ein Wasserdurchlässiges Substrat und verträgt volle Sonne.
Sie ist für jeden Sammler und Liebhaber von Palmen ein begehrtes Stück, jedoch in der Anschaffung
nicht immer günstig, bzw. auch schlecht zu bekommen.
